Crime Files: Ice cold actions of husband and son after Valentine's day killing

This week’s Crime Files is the second part of the chilling story of Louisa Tipping’s killing TO appear at a press conference appealing for help to find your wife’s killer when you know full well you did it, must have required brass neck beyond the stretch of most people. But to then pose for photographs laying flowers at the very spot where you dumped her dead body was the work of someone with ice in their veins. No wonder the death of Louisa Tipping and the trial of her husband Colin, who had dragged into his enterprise their 18-year-old son Simon, caused such anger on Worcester’s Ronkswood estate back in 1996.

Worcester street names: Where were Goosethrottle Lane, Wooden Stair Street and Clap Gate?

HERE’S a suggestion. With all the housebuilding that going on in and around Worcester, current and proposed, how about reviving some of the old street names? We all know how much developers are keen to show they care, allegedly scouring the record books for appropriate historical reference points, but there comes a time when you can’t keep naming everything after Sir Edward Elgar, worthy chap though he may have been. In an effort to give them a few helpful steers, they might like to scan their beadies down a list I happened across the other day. Not sure when it was compiled, but I guess its contents covered the work of civic officials over several centuries.
