BENIN CITY – The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has described late Nowamagbe Austin Omoigui, as an outstanding achiever in his chosen career during his lifetime. The governor made the remarks at a funeral mass held in honour of late Omoigui, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Benin City. Obaseki said, “Nowamagbe was a genius, an outstanding achiever in all he does. He was a fine gentleman who devoted his life to the service of humanity. He achieved all he planned to achieve. “He is described by many in different ways but for me, I will describe him as a quintessential Edo man. He is better known as a military and a civilian historian who achieved greatness in his chosen career.”
