Alistair McDowall’s three short plays are simultaneously suburban and apocalyptic a collection of quietly devastating monologues about women trapped in humdrum lives. At moments the evening feels like Alice in Wonderland filmed by David Lynch as the women are consumed by forces they can’t understand, each discovering an alternate reality in a world where boredom is measured out in teaspoons.
