A Winter Weather advisory is now in effect in Newberry County. Chad mills is there. Chad, how are conditions there . My car thermometer is reading a pretty constant 30degrees here in whitmire for now. It appears spots are melting a bit, but theres still a good dusting of snow on the ground along with some sleet and ice on the roadways. Lets get right to some video from earlier. So, but people here in whitmire tell me the snow started a few hours before that. They tell me theyre enjoying the change in scenery, but of course, theyre trying to be careful too. He made his first appearance today where a reporter described him as being somber and stonefaced. The victim, 21yearold allie casteel. She was from st. Louis and a major in marketing and business administration, on track to graduate next spring. She was last seen alive friday night outside of a bar on the Oxford Square which is the center of the towns nightlife. Surveillance video shows she walked up to the door of the place, stopped, turned around and walked out of camera view. She never went in and we dont know where she went next. Her roommates had to return home at midnight and then went back out at some point. If the roommate said she didnt hear her leave and didnt know where she was going.
