Springfield DPW construction update for the week of May 10

The Springfield Department of Public Works announced its weekly update of construction projects for the week of May 10.
The work on Springfield roadways may cause some traffic delays and drivers should be aware and make alternate route plans if necessary.
Utility work:
Grayson Drive from Breckwood Circle to Fox Road
Palo Alto Road from Forest Hills Road to Grand Valley Road
Woodland Road from Druid Hill Road to South Branch Parkway
Curb work beginning the week of May 17
Worthington Street from Main Street to Stearns Square

Pictured: A police officer THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a distraction burglary in Slough. Between 5.30pm and 6.05pm on Friday (April 30), the victims, a man and woman in their eighties, were at home at their property in Northampton Avenue when two men entered claiming they were there to look at their taps and water supply. Whilst one of the men pretended to check the taps in the kitchen, the other went into rooms around the house and stole cash and jewellery items. When the homeowner became aware of the second man’s presence and questioned what he was doing they left the scene.

Utility work will be performed on the following streets:
Beverly Street, from Northampton Avenue to Wilbraham Road
Grayson Drive, from Breckwood Circle to Fox Road
Palo Alto Road, from Forest Hills Road to Grand Valley Road
Woodland Road, from Druid Hill Road to South Branch Parkway
Beginning the week of May 10, curb work will be performed on Worthington Street from Main Street to Stearns Square.

Monrovia Street from Lang Street to 1,551-feet south of Page Blvd.
Notre Dame Street from Carew Street to El Paso Street
Curb work beginning the week of 5/3
