LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Sean Ardoin, Jesse Bernard, Mayor Nic Hunter, and Joshua Lewis all were given two minutes to answer posed questions by moderators and business leaders at the debate Sunday night.
Held by the Cary Chavis Agency, “The Great Debate” touched on topics ranging from the issues of the hurricanes and North Lake Charles to their solutions to bridges on the freeze.
“Salt to salt the bridges,” explained Sean Ardoin. “We get the trucks out there to do it. We schedule it and we just stay and be ready. If you get ready, you never have to stay ready.”

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Southwest Louisiana Credit Union and SWLA Center for Health Services will be partnering to host a financial education service called âFinancial Cents Under the Tent.â
The events will take place on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. starting February 9, 2021. It will be at the SWLA Center for Health Services on 2000 Opelousas St.
The events will help provide financial services and education to the North Lake Charles community.
Aerial Recovery Group Deploying To Honduras For 2nd Mission Trip To Assist With Emergency Training And Relief Efforts

NASHVILLE, JANUARY 26, 2021 Aerial Recovery Group, a global emergency management firm, will be headed down to Honduras for its second mission trip to assist the country in their emergency aid and relief efforts after back-to-back devastation from Hurricanes Eta and Iota in November. The Aerial Volunteer Corps will visit the hard-hit communities of San Pedro Sula and the surrounding areas for a 9 day mission from January 31 through February 7, working on two projects while on the ground:
Conducting swift water rescue training with Cepudo Foundation first responders in order to make them better prepared for future disasters.
