TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Titusville, police said.
The fatal wreck was reported around 8:45 a.m. near the 400 block of North Dixie Avenue.

According to Titusville police, a preliminary investigation shows that the man was driving a red 2011 Nissan Frontier truck west on North Dixie Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck several trees on the south side of the road.

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A man who fled from officers said he was trying to get home to his mom and claimed he was driving too fast to pull over, according to the Titusville Police Department.
Police said they saw Nicholas Debetes, 18, driving a red Hyundai Elantra “at an extremely high rate of speed” Thursday around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of North Dixie Avenue and Mayfair Way and turned on their lights in an attempt to get him to stop.
