Northwest Iowa Man Facing Burglary and Theft Charges in O’Brien County

Sutherland, IA (KICD)– A Northwest Iowa man is facing burglary and theft charges in O’Brien County after being arrested on Saturday.
A criminal complaint filed early last week notes officers were called to a commercial building on North Cannon Street in Paullina where security video reportedly showed 34-year-old Benjamin Stanley breaking into the building and taking several items.
The building owner was able to identify Stanley as the suspect from prior employment and other theft incidents.
Stanley was charged with third degree burglary, fourth degree theft and fifth degree criminal mischief.

Paullina, Iowa A northwest Iowa man is behind bars, facing a felony charge after he was arrested on Saturday.
According to criminal complaints filed by Sutherland Police Officer Jami Webster, on December 7th, she was called to a commercial building on North Cannon Street in Paullina. The owner of the property reported a burglary.
Webster says that the owner had video surveillance running, and after reviewing the footage, the owner believes that 34-year-old Benjamin Stanley (whose address is listed in Alton in one document and Larrabee in another) allegedly broke into the property. Webster says the surveillance footage shows a subject breaking into the building with a screwdriver and walking over to the shelf of power tools where the subject grabbed four items and walked out of the property.
