Waiting, bracing for the eye of that hurricane to get closer to puerto rico, we ve seen three things happen. one, people are wrapped around in lines, inside grocery stores, scrambling to get those last-minute nonperishables. secondly, 456 shelters have been set up as an emergency procedure all throughout the island and we ve seen them have food and water and backup generators. in fact just yesterday i was speaking to the mayor of san juan and she said, look, i m going to bring my entire family here and i m going to spend the night. why would i ask other people to do something that i myself am not willing to do. third and finally, stephanie, we ve seen about 150 flights coming in and out of san juan alone that have been cancelled. those aren t just people trying to evacuate but people who are stuck here, stranded on vacation. one family we spoke to just narrowly missed hurricane harvey in houston. they came here to puerto rico for vacation and now they re stranded. we spoke to fema and
