What makes it sadder is that for the first in a long while, President Muhammadu Buhari actually had what seemed a good international outing in Paris, France, where he was warmly received by President Emmanuel Macron, CEOs of major corporations and some Nigerians in diaspora. How I wished his overzealous acolytes had allowed the old man to savor the modicum of success he recorded on a trip that was nearly marred at the beginning by some controversy over whether the events would hold or not.

The Acting National Leader of Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, has said that President Buhari has a hidden agenda for rejecting calls for restructuring.
Adebanjo made this known to newsmen at the service of songs and tribute ceremony held for lthe ate Yinka Odumakin, while reacting to presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu’s statement that Buhari won’t be bullied into “settling” secessionists.
The Afenifere leader wondered why the presidential spokesperson will say the president is not interested in restructuring when the people have said what they want.
He, however, maintained that there will be more Igbohos and Nnamdi Kanus if restructuring is not carried out immediately.

The leader of the Pan-Yoruba Socio-Cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, says getting a replacement for the late Yinka Odumakin, former national publicity secretary of the organisation will be difficult.
Adebanjo made this remark on Thursday at the Service of Songs and Tributes for the late activist, at Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.
Odumakin, 54, an astute activist died on April 2 in Lagos.
The Yoruba leader admonished all to emulate Odumakin’s unswerving life of selflessness and commitment to struggle for justice all his life.

There have been secession agitations, while some persons have called for Nigeria to be restructured to allow for regional governments.
