a. today it s another week, potentially another shift in cdc guidance which could leave many americans scratching their heads wondering exactly how to approach the latest coronavirus wave. just a week ago the isolation period for people infected with covid was shortened from ten days to five, so what could potentially be changing now? here s secretary-general dr. mur thy this morning at cnn. guidance on shortening the isolation period was one that the cdc issued last week. they have certainly received feedback and questions about the role of testing in shortening that quarantine period and they are actually working right now on issuing a clarification on that. i would expect that any day now. so stand by for some sort of clarification potentially involving testing. meantime, where do we stand as a country? omicron now accounts for 95% of enough cases in the u.s. in the last week, and while those infections do appear in most cases to be milder, we know the nation s hospital system i
