That tree snapped power linesnap putting the utility crews work to tonight and leaving a few hundred people without power oni such a freezing night. We heard what sounded to me like an explosion and a of course ouf lights went out and then a couple of seconds later there was another large bank. After hearing the strong wind all day people who lived near kensington parkway got to see utility poles snapped like twist and tangled wires all over road. Branch crashed down on a car in bethesda. This is one of several wires today, a barn up in flames in clarksburg. At the time and no one was hurt. But firefighters say nearby homes were threatened. It was fully involved in fire. E. Office lit windy conditions were creating a situation where the nearby brush and woods caught on fire very quickly, pretty rapid spread of that fire. Before this, montgom county fire was called to a brush fire in gaithersburg sparked by a lawnmower. Rapid spread, got into a wooded area and fortunately we were able to get there and get a pretty good knock on it prettyey quickly, but it was probably about spread about 100 yards or so. We do know that the victim was not armed. And that the alleged shooter had the conceal to carry permit. Now, at a press briefing a short time ago. District attorney kevin steele told us more about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. All of it remains vague as investigators continue to investigate what happened. The investigation into this is ongoing. Were going to have to determine whether the shooting was justified, under the law. Were still interviewing witnesses. And the autopsy on the case is scheduled for tomorrow at the Montgomery County coroners office.
