Amazon will open a delivery center in St. Cloud this year, creating hundreds of jobs in an area still hurting from the pandemic with higher than normal unemployment levels. We re thrilled to have Amazon one of the nation s premier companies operate in St. Cloud, St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis said Tuesday after his annual State of the City address. I think this is something most cities want.
Kleis announced in his speech that Amazon has applied for permits with the city and should be hiring this year.

Amazon plans to open a new facility in St. Cloud later this year, according to St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis. We ve got a big employer coming to St. Cloud that s going to be hundreds of jobs and that s Amazon, Kleis said in his 2021 State of the City address on Tuesday.
Amazon has completed the permits for the new center on Heatherwood Road near Interstate 94, Kleis noted. We’re excited to continue our investment in the state of Minnesota with the addition of a new delivery station and Amazon Hub Locker+ in St. Cloud, Amazon spokesperson Nikki Wheeler told Bring Me The News. This new delivery station will provide fast and efficient delivery for customers, with the added benefit of an additional free, secure, and convenient pickup and returns location. We expect the site to open in 2021.
