Hoffman Estates Park District swears in its new board members

During the May Hoffman Estates Park District annual board meeting, incumbents Rajkumari Chhatwani, Keith Evans and Pat McGinn, along with newly-elected board members Linda Dressler and Marc Friedman, took the oath of office affirming the results of the April 6 election.
Evans, McGinn, Chhatwani and Dressler will serve 4-year terms. Friedman will serve a 2-year term.
The board of commissioners and the park district thanked outgoing board member Ron Evans for his years of service on the HEParks board of commissioners and his service at the state level as a trustee for the Illinois Association of Park Districts.
HEParks Recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ending in 2019 has been awarded to Hoffman Estates Park District (HEParks) by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
An Award of Financial Reporting Achievement has been awarded to HEParks, the Superintendent of Business, Lynne Cotshott, CPRP, the Director of Finance and Administration, Nicole Hopkins, CPA, and members of the finance department as those primarily responsible for preparing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. HEParks has received the award seven times since 2014.
