germany and the united states are reportedly ready to send tanks to ukraine, in what kyiv hopes will be a game changer in the war. at least 1a leopard 2 tanks could be provided by germany, following months of debate. the united states reportedly plans to supply at least 30 m1 abrams tanks. it s claimed german officials privately insisted they would only send tanks if the us did too. ukrainian officials say they urgently need heavier weapons. britain is providing challenger two tanks. poland wants to send some of its german made tanks but needs permission from berlin. at least 16 other european and nato countries have leopard 2 tanks, which could be available if germany approves their export. elsewhere in ukraine, it s been confirmed two british aid workers, who went missing earlier this month, have been killed. chris parry and andrew bagshaw died while attempting to evacuate people from the eastern city of soledar. we ll have more on that shortly, but first this report on wea
