The company has a long history of non-compliance with consents and Ngāti Mutunga, neighbours, environmentalists and oil and gas industry watchdog groups oppose its consents being renewed.
New Plymouth Council wanted to process its food waste collection at Uruti and it along with companies such as Fonterra, Tegel, Waste Management and EnviroWaste, submitted in favour, arguing Remediation NZ provided a sustainable option for waste disposal not available anywhere else in Taranaki.
Rotorua s National Kiwi Hatchery is a pretty remarkable place to visit.
New Zealand’s most famous doctor got to meet his kiwi namesake near remote Taranaki bush. Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield, who has also had a kea, and a rhino in Botswana named in his honour, was on hand as Bloom was released into a burrow in Purangi, east of Inglewood, on Monday. Born at the National Kiwi Hatchery in Rotorua in September, Bloom was named after the man behind the country s Covid-19 response following a call for suggestions from viewers of TVNZ’s
