The International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) have announced that they would no longer transfer dollars to Nigerians. The IMTOs said they will now only pay in naira. The decision, the operators said was based on the recent directive by the Central Bank of Nigeria, restricting their operations only to inbound transfers. SaharaReporters had earlier reported that the CBN in circular addressed to IMTOs, published on January 31, ordered the operators not to facilitate money transfers from Nigeria to other countries.
