Today doctors and nurses from across philadelphia will be gathering to throw their support behind a proposed tax on soda and other sugary drinks. Forget about dollars and cents for just a moment. Doctors and nurses are going to be rallying here later this afternoon in support of that tax for the potential lives that it could skaave. A study conducted by harvard found a soda tax would save 700 lives and reduce Health Care Costs across the city by nearly 200 million over the next decade. So not everyone is in support of that tax. Most recently, a councilwoman submitted a container tax proposal

Nbc 10 has learned an investigation is under way tonight after someone made a bomb threat against three city police districts. This afternoon in michigan two bailiffs were shot to death inside a courthouse in st. Joseph. Police say an inmate who was being moved grabbed an officers gun and began shooting in an attempt to escape. The flames are shooting out of the ground just feet from the Garden State Parkway. That fire has been burning for hours, still not out. Good evening, im lucy noland. Im chris oconnell. It looks like they finally figured out how to turn off this valve. I did call south jersey gas and they have not yet confirm the fire is completely out.
