More than half of all women, homicide victims in recent years , were killed by their partners or relatives, and while we know that it is not just women who are affected by Domestic Violence, women are far more likely than men to experience violence in the home. In the United States, more than one in three women will report experiencing abuse by domestic partners in their lifetime. This abuse impacts not only the victims, but entire families and communities.
