The General Assembly of Nepal Bar Association has passed a resolution calling on the stakeholders to amend the constitution to fix the tenure of Supreme Court Justices to seven years, not more.
KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA), an umbrella organization of legal professionals across the country, has objected to the amendment of the Justice Council Rules and the reordering of the seniority of judges. The Nepal Bar has also warned that the rules of the council have been amended in favor of some people and urged the Council to rectify these changes immediately.
KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered to summon amicus curiae (expert giving opinion to the court) in the writ petition registered addressing the issue of flaw in the Nepali orthography.
