The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and experts from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston have released their research on the potential implementation of a digital currency in the United States, and the different approaches that could be used to make it happen.
PayPal has appointed a special council to act as its advisory on the subjects of digital currencies, cryptocurrencies, as well as blockchain technology. The team has six members including Neha Narula, Peter Briger, and Antoinette Schoar among others.
The payments firm said the addition of six members to its Blockchain, Crypto and Digital Currencies advisory council would help support its current and future products as well as its goal of creating a more inclusive digital financial ecosystem.
