AUBURN, Ala. – The No.16/NR Florida State swimming and diving closed out the Auburn Invite on Saturday at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
“It was another good day for us,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “They supported each other, and they competed hard. I am very proud of this group.”
Sydney Cole turned in a season-best in the 200 back, touching at 1:59.11 for fourth place.
Brooke Arnold added her best time in the 100 free, touching at 50.59, finishing in ninth.
The Seminoles had two in the women’s 200 breast, led by Rachel Moran (2:19.62) in 11th and Sydney Boals (2:23.25) in 14th.
Mabry Bishop led the way for the Noles in the 200 fly, touching fourth at 2:01.55, just off her best time (2:01.43). Jenny Bird followed in eighth at 2:05.10.
Conner Lowery got the session started off by placing seventh in the men’s 200 back at 1:47.83.

Tallahassee, Fla. – The No.16/NR Florida State swimming and diving teams will start the postseason on Friday, as select Seminoles will be competing in the Auburn Invite at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. “We’re excited to see what this group can do,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “We have some real talent and they’ve been looking really good in training. We’re looking to have fun and swim fast.” Two sessions will be held on Friday, occurring at 11 a.m., and 6 p.m. Saturday’s events will take place at 11 a.m. In addition to FSU and Auburn, swimmers from LSU, Florida, Emory, and Georgia Tech are expected to compete. Live timing will be available through meet mobile. Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 16/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams will hit the road to face No.4/8 Florida in the Fresh from Florida Sunshine Showdown on Friday.
Diving will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville starting at 12 p.m. each day, while swimming events will be held in Ocala, Fla., on Friday at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training Facility.
“We’re excited to swim a very good Florida team at this new facility in Ocala,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “It’s a great opportunity for some fast swims indoors against some great competition. It’s a great way for us to continue to get ready for championship season.”
The teams will compete in 16 events including the 100s and 200s of each stroke in addition to 50, 500, 1650 free, and 400 IM. The meet will start off with the 200 medley relay and finish with the 200 free relay.
