holmes criminal trial for fraud in california. and of course in minnesota, former police officer kim potter is accused of manslaughter for shooting and killing 20-year-old daunte wright during a traffic stop earlier this year. all three women, of course, have pled not guilty. now all they can do is wait. joining me now is nbc s shaquille brewster, live from outside the potter courthouse in minneapolis. i know the jury is meeting right now. what are you hearing? that s right, kristen. it comes after about five hours of deliberations yesterday. and it did include a question from the jury about two hours into those deliberations. they asked the judge about the timing of an interview that kim potter did with one of the psychologists who took the stand as part of the defense. they the judge, rather, said that all of the evidence had been submitted, and this was an interview that regarded the use of a taser and why kim potter drew the weapon. the prosecution brought up during cross-exam
nbc s ellison barber, sam brock, and mike memoli. good to see all of you. ellison, i know you re at hartsfield-jackson atlanta airport. this is the busiest airport in the country. what are you hearing from travelers as they get to set to travel with this new jump in cases? it is very busy here. this airport is always busy, especially during the holidays. last year was an exception to that rule, but this holiday season, officials here at hartsfield-jackson international airport, they say that they expect to welcome about 3.7 million travelers in the next two weeks. airports across the country are expecting a lot of flyers. aaa says airlines will see an increase of 184%, compared to last year. in general, travel is up by about 34%. again, that s compared to this time last year. it s not quite pre-pandemic levels, but very, very close. aaa expects 109 million people
that, yes, they are worried that that number may go even higher, because so many people in this apartment complex are still missing. i spoke to one woman who described riding out the storm, looking up after being in her neighbor s basement, and just seeing nothing but complete and total darkness. she then ran across the street looking for her other neighbors. she and others, they started pulling people out of their basements, literally neighbors saving each other s lives in this neighborhood, at least three people lost their lives, and again, nicole, in this apartment complex, a number of people are still unaccounted for. i mean, we met one man yesterday who had a list of seven people he was trying to find, all of them had lived in this area. nicole? nbc s ellison barber, thank you so much. it s just a heartbreaking, heartbreaking tragedy. thank you so much for your reporting. the next hour of deadline white house starts after a quick break.

74 souls in that state are confirmed dead. they include members of the governor s family. at least 100 are still missing. joining us now from one of the hardest hit towns, dawson springs, kentucky, the hometown of beshear s family is our colleague, ellison barber with the latest. reporter: hey, nicole, when you walk through this community, when you look around, at one point you think, maybe it s just one or two streets that are devastated but the more you go, the more you see and i realize that most of this town, this community of less than 3,000 people, is gone. if you look up and you look around, you can see what was a series of apartments, most of them entirely gone. i spoke to the coroner of this county, hopkins county, and he said that 13 people lost their lives here. all of them in dawson springs. i asked him if he thinks that number could rise, and he says
