Govt to provide full support to housing projects in Punjab: PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan says federal government will provide full support to housing projects in Punjab under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program.
Chairing a meeting on the progress of low cost housing schemes for the low income segments of Punjab in Lahore today, he appreciated the sites proposed by the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency.
The participants were informed that with the approval of housing rules by the provincial government, an encouraging participation from private sector in the construction of houses is being observed.
They were apprised of housing needs of the people, commencement of balloting after Eid and the involvement of the private sector in the construction of houses.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill has said the government is fulfilling the promises made with the people.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said houses and flats are being constructed under Naya Pakistan Housing Program so that the people could own their houses.
PTI leader Sadaqat Abbasi in his remarks strongly denounced the threatening tone used by former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi against Speaker Asad Qaiser during the session of the National Assembly yesterday.
He said the very posture of Khaqan Abbasi was undemocratic and immoral. He said political parties, the media and intelligentsia should discourage such intolerant behavior. The PTI leader asked Khaqan Abbasi to apologize from the Speaker National Assembly over his conduct.
PM Imran Khan lays foundation stone of Jalozai Housing Scheme in Nowshera

NOWSHERA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday performed the groundbreaking of the Jalozai Housing Scheme for low-income groups in Nowshera.
Under the scheme worth Rs 3.3 billion, a total of 1,320 apartments will be constructed in 18 months in an area of 150 Kanal.
The apartments will be distributed through balloting among people having income up to Rs 40,000 per month.

In his address at the foundation stone-laying ceremony, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Naya Pakistan Housing Program has been launched across the Country so that the underprivileged segments of the society including laborers and workers could also own their houses.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday has said that only developed and progressed society can improve its infrastructure and economy.
While addressing a ceremony after inaugurating upgradation work of Peshawar-Dara Adamkhel road and laying the foundation stone of Chitral-Shandur road in Peshawar, the premier said that today, we have begun construction process of two important roads in the metropolis.
If the roads are being made through proper planning, they will benefit the country, he stated.
