The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (India) continues its efforts to develop and modernize National Waterways and promote inland water transport as a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly mode of transportation.
An official said, “We are also working on the Gurupura River (National Waterway 43) with a budget of Rs 29.62 crore, and the Aghanashini River (Tadadadi to Aghanashini) in Uttara Kannada district with an allocated cost of Rs 20 crore.
