Five institutions in Dubai have come together to propagate kidney health with March having been observed globally as the “National Kidney Month” and March 11 (Thursday) as “World Kidney Day.”
The five are the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital (AJCH), Mediclinic City, and Al Jalila Foundation, whose officials on Tuesday announced their collaborative month-long “Think Kidney Campaign.”
Aside from kidney diseases, the campaign aims to intensify educational awareness relative to organ donation and transplantation. Initially scheduled are virtual discussions on March 14 (English) and 16 (Arabic). The resource speakers include patients and their family members.
