Olam Ghana marked National Safety Day with a solemn virtual ceremony, reasserting the company’s commitment to occupational safety and the good health of its employees across its operations.
This year’s National Safety Day celebration in Ghana ran under the theme, ‘Positive Safety Approaches Save Lives’ and was observed alongside the World International Safety Day as declared by the International Labour Organisations (ILO).
Olam’s commemorative ceremony was virtually attended by employees alongside the management team as well as some representative from state institutions. The ceremony underscored the need for all stakeholders to cultivate enabling environments which help to secure and guarantee a safe and healthy environment for workers.

The employees of RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, observed the 50th National Safety Day here on Friday.
To mark the occasion, a function was organised at the training centre under the theme ‘Learn from Disaster and Prepare for a Safer Future’.
Chairman and Managing Director of VSP P.K. Rath, Director of Factories D.C.S. Varma and General Manager (Safety) S. Sanyal spoke on the occasion.

National Safety Day is observed on March 4 every year to commemorate the foundation of the National Safety Council, which aims to raise awareness about safety measures that need to be undertaken to prevent accidents and mishaps.
The objective of the day is to renew the commitment of employees and the general public to work safely and ensure the integration of a safe and sound work culture and lifestyle.
