On the eve of South Africa's highly anticipated national and provincial elections, Sy Mamabolo, CEO of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), briefed the media at the National Results Operatio.
South Africans will have until 9pm on Wednesday to make their voice heard and cast their vote in the seventh democratic elections. Voting was off to a good start on Wednesday with no serious incidents reported by 10am.
The start of the highly anticipated election day has been characterised by long queues snaking around suburban blocks, as South Africans lined up to vote.
