Following the shooting incident i discussed Airport Security issues with leaders of the American Alliance of Airport Police officers. Our discussion i wrote t. S. A. R to two administrator in which i recommended that Law Enforcement withins be stationed 300 feet of t. S. A. Passenger screening checkpoints. And i have a copy of that letter today and with the committees consent i will include it in the hearing record. I was pleased to learn that t. S. A. Was responsive to the raised in itsi report. Specifically t. S. A. Issued standards calling for an increased presence of law highcement officers at traffic locations within the peak travelh as times and checkpoints and ticket counters.
