It was recently announced that drugmaker Merck & Co. Inc. was suing the federal government due to a law, passed by Congressional Democrats last year as part of their misnamed Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which allows the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to "negotiate", Vito Corleone (the Godfather) style, for lower drug prices on certain drugs.
