Islamabad: Federal Minister for Education and National Heritage Shafqat Mahmood attended a high-level online dialogue on the World Heritage Education towards Sustainable
Future during the extended 44th session of the World Heritage Committee in Fuzhou area of China.
The event was attended by education and culture ministers from across the world. It will continue until July 31.
According to the organisers, the event is meant to create the network to
further contribute to the promotion, preservation and protection of World Heritage and fulfilment
of SDGs by identifying effective ways of World Heritage Education.
The World Heritage Committee is responsible for the implementation of the World Heritage Convention and supports countries around the world in the preservation of World Heritage sites.
Pakistan, Bulgaria agree on educational cooperation The News International

UAE envoy meets education minister

Islamabad: Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Alzaabi called on Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training & National Heritage Shafqat Mahmood here on Wednesday in his office.
During the course of meeting, both sides discussed the various aspects of bilateral relationship and pledged to further cement them between both states.
Both the dignitaries discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the realm of education, culture and skill development.
Shafqat Mahmood said that UAE is the home to the second largest Pakistani Community abroad, adding that they are contributing significantly to progress of both countries.
