This morning, police have identified the suspect theyre looking for. Nbc 10s Pamela Osborne is live at southwest detectives with the details on the latest. Pam . Reporter rosemary, police were able to make that identification, thanks in part to the councilman who identified that suspect, picked him out of a photo lineup. Since then, the search has been on for this man. 24yearold sean yarby. Theres a warrant out for his arrest and he is now considered a fugitive. Overnight, detectives searched his last he have known addresses but they were unable to find him. Police say that yarbury tried to rob councilman oh as he returned home. The councilman was stabbed in the side and the District Attorney has charged their suspect with attempted m
At first he thought it was fireworks. All of a sudden bam. You know i hear it again and then thats when i ducked because i heard the ricco shaye off the wall. Somebody shooting. Reporter one bullet went through the window of a corner Fried Chicken restaurant. Kianna smith was in bed across the street. I rollout bed on the floor and i was ducking looking out my window making sure my husband wasnt out here. Reporter shooting victim identified as 16 year old Zion Abdullah Chester High School sophomore and Football Player staggered down 11th street to the vacant Columbus Elementary School property and died there. Chester Upland School officials immediately locked down the high School Next Door and other diss trek schools to keep students out of harms way. Parents rushed to chester high to collect their children. Get them home. I shouldnt have to worry about my kids walking to school and making sure theyre okay or safe. It shouldnt be like that. One woman scuffled with police and was detain
