The Bagtason Loom Weavers Association (BLWA) led by its chairman Mario Manzano, in an interview Friday, said they initially planted indigo, a shrub that can be a source of blue natural dye in a less than a hectare area in Barangay Bagtason on Feb. 13. The BLWA in the municipality of Bugasong is now using natural dye on its handwoven fabric. Manzano said they used to make use of a synthetic dye that they ordered from stores in Metro Manila.
