Our CorrespondentKohima, Nov 14 (EMN): A state-level painting competition on energy conservation under National Campaign on Energy Conservation 2022 of the Ministry of Power, Government of India was held on Monday at Hotel De Oriental Grand in Kohima. Principal Director of School Education, Thavaseelan K, who attended the closing ceremony as chief guest, said such competitions will help the children boost their self-confidence and also spur them to take art as a career, while expounding on the potential and possibilities of taking art as a profession. Further, he also highlighted the importance of energy conservation, adding that unless people make concerted efforts towards conservation of energy, the human race would be looking at a bleak future. The event was organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency; department of Electrical Inspectorate Nagaland Designated Agency; department of School Education and Northeast Electrical Power Corporation Limited- Doyang Hydro Power Station (DHPS)
To promote the message of energy saving as part of ‘National Campaign on Energy Conservation’, the Ministry of Power with Bureau of Energy Efficiency have announced painting competitions for schools across the country.
