Worcestershire County Council agreed to postpone the sewage works planned to take place in Silverwoods Way next month so as not to coincide with reconstruction works at the Hoobrook Island, after fears were raised that the two projects would cause major disruption on Kidderminster s roads. Now however, the council has made another U-turn and allowed the sewer works to go ahead as first planned - but to close Silverwoods Way for two weeks instead of four - after it emerged that postponing the project would have a detrimental impact on a new factory being built nearby.
