REEDSVILLE Mann’s Narrows Road in Mifflin County was closed Monday afternoon as crews work to clear a rock slide that occurred Sunday night, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. PennDOT said the closure may last as long as three days. Mifflin County Regional Police Department Chief Andre French said MCRPD officers were first notified of the issue at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday. “As a result, PennDOT personnel evaluated the scene and, in the interest of public safety, determined this portion of roadway should be closed until further notice,” French said. “PennDOT is in the process of closing this road now. PennDOT will utilize their resources, to include PennDOT geologists, to evaluate the situation. The roadway will remain closed pending expert evaluation of the scene.”
