A 43-year-old Nevada man awaiting trial on kidnapping, sexual assault and murder charges in the March 2022 killing of a rural teenager has been found dead in his jail cell.

Troy Driver, 43, was found unresponsive in his jail cell on Sunday evening as officers made a routine check around the maximum-security facility in Lyon County, Nevada, where he was being held.
Troy Driver was accused of abducting an 18-year-old woman from a Walmart parking lot in Fernley last year and fatally shooting her at a remote mine site.
