The Department of School Education and Literacy has submitted a proposal for the construction of 302 new classrooms in Mysuru district to address the scarcity of classrooms and poor conditions affecting student attendance. The proposal seeks Rs 41 crore for the construction of these classrooms. The delay in approval is attributed to the model code of conduct during elections. Once approved, the construction will prioritize primary and high schools in various taluks.
