Nancy Czarnik (1941 - 2023) Nancy J. Czarnik, 81, who served as an Elk Grove Village trustee for 32 years, was vice mayor, and served the village in a host of other capacities passed away suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 29, village officials announced Friday afternoon. Longtime Elk Grove Village trustee Nancy Czarnik, who retired in November 2021 after 32 years on the village board, died Sunday at age 81. An avid reader, world traveler and bridge player, Czarnik was an Elk Grove icon, said Mayor Craig Johnson.
