Josh Welsh said in a statement, via
THR. “In an unbelievably challenging year, this year’s Spirit Award nominees inspired us, connected us, and have been a source of urgently needed light in the darkness. Even though we’re still stuck at home, let’s come together to celebrate this great work!”
Lang Fisher, who also serves as showrunner and writer.
In season two, Devi (
Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships.
It was also just revealed that
Common will be joining the cast as Dr. Chris Jackson, a suave and debonair dermatologist who works in Nalini’s (
Jagannathan) building. His high-end practice and celebrity clients are impressive to everyone except Nalini.
