Preview by Josh Nason
The main event for tonight s Sacrifice will feature Impact World champion Rich Swann vs. TNA champion Moose in a title unification that will set up a winner take all match for April s Rebellion pay-per-view against AEW World champion Kenny Omega.
Swann and Moose have been at odds for months with Moose finally earning the title shot by losing an I quit match in an act of mercy proposed by Swann in exchange for the shot. The two then later reluctantly teamed up as part of a six-man tag with Omega on the other side of the ring at January s Hard to Kill.
Two Big Title Matches Added To Impact’s “Sacrifice”
Impact Wrestling has just announced that the Impact World Champion Rich Swann will put his title on the line against Moose in the main event of their exclusive event,
Sacrifice, on Saturday, March 13.
Swann and Moose’s rivalry began at
Hard To Kill when both men, along with Chris Sabin, fell short against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and the Impact World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers. Following their match, Moose ambushed the World Champion and claimed his spot as the next challenger to Swann’s title. For weeks, Swann has pushed the self-proclaimed TNA World Heavyweight Champion off to the side, but Moose has always found a way to slither in and attack the champion while he’s down. In two weeks, he’ll finally get his due.
Tonight on
Sacrifice, will premiere on Saturday, March 13, on Impact Plus.
This announcement was shown during their Impact Plus advertisement. At last year’s
Sacrifice, the main event saw the former Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard defeat the former X-Division Champion Ace Austin in a Non-Title Champion versus Champion Match.
Stay tuned with Wrestling Inc. for new and updated matches that will be added to the card.
– Speaking of tonight’s show, FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) had a triumphant debut when they defeated Reno Scum with a superplex/splash combination from off the top rope. After the match, the Impact World Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers, came out to give the former IWGP Tag Team Champions a “warm” welcome.
