Shavell Jordan Jones, 23, opened fire on his girlfriend and her family, including her mother and her 4-year-old niece around 4 a.m. Friday, police said.
"They had hid under their blankets when the shooting started, and thankfully, we found them unharmed in the home," Orange County Sheriff John Mina said.
