The man has agreed to plead guilty to a charge of lying to federal agents who say he helped to create works displayed and later seized at the Orlando Museum of Art. The museum's director at the time was the former head of William & Mary's Muscarelle Museum of Art.
Oswalt, a William & Mary alumnus who was born in Portsmouth, and Henry Wolf, former William & Mary rector and retired chief financial officer of Norfolk Southern, will each receive honorary degrees at the ceremony, the school announced on Tuesday.
