Police said the incident happened on July 10 when some motorbike-borne persons shot at the girl and her friend when they were returning home on a scooter after attending classes at a coaching center.
A man entered the centre, a former bakery in the historic heart of the university city, just before 9.30 am and “for as yet unclear reasons stabbed the victims and then fled,” police said in a statement.
On November 17, 1994, three persons had attacked and brutally killed a 27-year-old woman, Chakramidevi Prajapati, and her four minor kids - Pramod (5), Pinky (3), Pintu (2) and a three-month-old toddler.
