DAVAO CITY – A 103-year-old grandmother from Caraga town in Davao Oriental received her first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, July 7.
According to the provincial government Encarnacion Pagantian, a resident from Sitio Poblacion, Barangay Palma Gil got her first dose of Sinovac vaccine.
Pagantian was accompanied by her daughter. Caraga Municipal Health Officer Dr. Chris Anthony Limen said they admired the centenarian’s enthusiasm to be vaccinated. He said Pagantian is “a proof that people must not be afraid to get vaccinated.”
