RAWALPINDI: The President’s Economic Adviser, Mr M.M. Ahmed, today [June 27] emphasised that Pakistan will do without foreign assistance if political strings are attached to it. .
Asked to elaborate [on] his observations in his . budget speech regarding political pressures in the context of foreign assistance, Mr Ahmed . said so far on record in this regard [there] was only the British Government. Asked if Pakistan had any alternative . in case the foreign assistance was totally suspended Mr Ahmed said it might be revealed if and when the time came.
New import policy hailed
