At the moment, cases of kidnapping have become a day-to-day activity in Ogun State, making major headlines on pages of newspapers. Our correspondent observed that in the past one month, hardly would a week pass by without a case of kidnapping in the state. The kidnappers are now in all the three senatorial districts of the state, with Ogun West being the most affected. Unfortunately, Abeokuta, which is the capital, is not spared despite being the state headquarters of all security agencies.

Daily Post Nigeria Published It has been revealed how the founder and Lead pastor of the Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International, based in Abuja, prophet Emmanuel Omale, foresaw the military plane crash that happened in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja on Sunday. The plane crash, which occurred near the Abuja airport at the weekend, left all military officials on board dead. A video now circulating on the internet shows the Abuja-based prophet revealing that the incident could happen and called on Nigerians to pray. The Nigerian Air Force plane had an engine failure on Sunday, leading to the death of seven people. The incident happened near the Abuja airport.

Herdsmen crisis: Scores of Ogun indigenes now refugees in Benin Republic

In the past few days, there have been cases of attacks by people suspected to be herdsmen in Yewa North and Imeko Afon Local Government Areas. In Imeko, DAILY POST reported how a farmer, Dele Olowoniyi, was slaughtered by gunmen, who attacked Oha village at night. A few days after, about six persons were claimed to have been killed in Owode Ketu area of Yewa North when the attackers invaded the community overnight. After this, several other Yewa residents were reportedly killed, many houses burnt, while a yet-to-be identified number of people, including children sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Again, gunmen kidnap driver, four passengers in Ogun

Daily Post Nigeria Published A commercial driver, Kamorudeen Olateju, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen while driving along Ayetoro-Abeokuta road in Ogun State. The driver was reportedly abducted alongside one Ms Saidat Adediran and three other passengers on Saturday, at about 4:45am in Iwofin, an area around Olorunda, Abeokuta North Local Government area of the State. The incident was said to have been reported at the Imala police divisional headquarters by two relatives of the abductees, Abubakar Olateju of Emado quarters and Kehinde Adediran, residing at Obon Oselu, all in Ayetoro. A source revealed to DAILY POST that the gunmen accosted the driver, who is also known as Charger, and whisked him away with the passengers he was conveying from Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government to Abeokuta, the state capital.
