Firefighters battle Liverpool house fire

Town of Salina, N.Y. Flames shot through the roof of a house as volunteer firefighters battled a house fire Monday night on Ruby Road in the Liverpool fire district.
Someone called the Onondaga County 911 Center at 7:53 p.m. to report a garage on fire at 110 Ruby Road in the town of Salina, dispatchers said. But the fire quickly spread to the house.
Liverpool, Moyers Corners, Mattydale, North Syracuse and Solvay firefighters responded to the scene. Clay, Moyers Corners and Seneca River firefighters also helped by standing by at Liverpool fire stations.
When firefighters arrived, they reported seeing heavy fire showing in the front of the two-story, wood-framed house.
