Unsure about a possible suspect in the incident. Des Moines Police tell us they interviewed the victim identified as Dustin Curtis while he was being treated at iowa methodist. Curtis told police that he heard a small pop while getting cigarettes from his car. He said he later discovered a small wound to his stomach and was taken to the emergency room. However, police say there are inconsistencies in curtis story as well as that of a witness. Right now they are trying to , determine if the wound may have somehow been self inflicted perhaps by accident. , curtis under went surgery. His condition is not known at this time.
