A number of the police who came to newtown said to me we could not have stopped that shooter. Even with the body armor we were wearing with that kind of assault weapon. But Vice President biden downplayed the need for an asalts weapons ban thursday. He said those weapons are only used in a small percentage of crimes. Im much less concerned, quite frankly, about what youd call an assault weapon than i am about magazines and the number of rounds that can be held in a magazine. Armstrong was stripped of his seven tour titles last year after an exhaustive investigation by the u. S. Antidoping agency. The group questioned 11 of armstrongs former teammates and accused him of masterminding a teamwide operation and intimidating those who threatened to mention it.
